We use third-party companies that process your data on our behalf, under contractual data protection obligations. They include:

- Recharge Payments — subscription billing
- Klaviyo Inc. — email marketing and customer communications
- Attentive Mobile Inc. — SMS marketing
- Stripe / PayPal — payment processing

- Amazon — marketplace fulfilment and sales

Advertising and analytics partners
We work with advertising platforms that may receive identifiers and behavioural data to serve you relevant advertising and measure campaign performance. You can opt out of this as described in Section 11.
Legal and regulatory
We may disclose your information where required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cadence, our customers, or others.
Business transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business assets, your information may be transferred to the relevant party. We will provide notice if your data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy as a result.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Our general retention periods are:
- Customer account and order data: 7 years from the date of the last transaction
- Marketing preferences and consent records: 3 years from your last interaction, or until you opt out
- Website analytics data: up to 26 months
- Fraud prevention records: up to 5 years
- Customer support and correspondence: up to 3 years from the last communication
When data is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it securely.

Right to access: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Right to correction: you may ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.

Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a lower quality of service as a result.

8. Children's Privacy
Our products and services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@usecadence.com and we will delete it promptly.
For users between 13 and 16 years of age, we will not sell or share their personal information without their opt-in consent, consistent with CCPA requirements.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website to provide our services, understand how our site is used, and deliver relevant advertising.

11. Additional Rights for California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
This section applies to residents of California and supplements the rest of this policy.
Sale and sharing of personal information
We may share personal information — including identifiers and internet activity data — with advertising partners such as Meta and Google for cross-context behavioural advertising. Under CCPA/CPRA, this may constitute "selling" or "sharing" personal information.
You have the right to opt out. To do so, contact us at hello@usecadence.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" and we will process your request within 15 business days.
We do not sell or share personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age without opt-in consent.
Sensitive personal information
We collect payment card data, which is processed entirely by third-party processors. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those necessary to provide our services.
Shine the Light (California Civil Code Section 1798.83)
California residents may request, once per year, information about personal information we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, contact us at hello@usecadence.com.
Authorised agents
You may designate an authorised agent to submit requests on your behalf. We may require written proof of authorisation and may verify your identity directly.
